MODERN MOLECULAR AND BIOLOGICAL METHODS IN DIAGNOSTICS OF BORDERLINE OVARIAN TUMOURS

Abstract

An expression of proteins genes of extracellular matrix of osteopontin and thrombospondin-1 in fabrics of borderline, malignant and benign tumors of ovaries were investigated by the RT-PCR method in real time. There was shown a reliable (p < 0,05) increase in the isoforms mRNA level on osteopontin of OPNa (in 14,5 and 4,7 times) and OPNb (in 11,3 and 27,2 times) both in samples of fabrics of ovarian cancer, and in samples of borderline tumors in comparison with cystoma ovaries. The tendency to decrease in level of expression (by 3,0 times in borderline ovarian tumors and by 27,2 times in ovarian cancer) with increase of aggression of tumoral fabrics was registered for for thrombospondin-1. Thus, OPNa and OPNb proteins can be considered as potential molecular markers of ovarian tumors.
