AEEG AT PREMATURELY BORN CHILDREN AS SCREENING METHOD IN DETECTION OF NEONATAL CRAMPS

Abstract

The analysis of literature shows that most of the Russian and foreign authors inclines to hypoxemic ischemic lesions of brain in the perinatal period as to the main reason of neonatal cramps. It is commonly known that any cramps can lead to serious cerebral dysfunction owing to the hypoxia developing against an attack. Inclusion of cerebral function monitoring by method of amplitude integrated electroencephalography in clinical practice gave to doctors new diagnostic opportunities as this technique can be used for very early prediction of outcome after the postponed perinatal asphyxia.
