EVALUATING CYTOTOXICITY AND APYROGENICITY OF A BIODEGRADABLE POLYLACTIDE MATRIX

Abstract

The article examines the biological safety of a biodegradable matrix with specified physical and chemical properties fabricated from the polylactic acid by aerodynamic spinning and extrusion in the turbulent gas flow. Via a comparative analysis of the viability of rat bone marrow cells in vitro , we have determined that the studied synthetic polylactide matrix lacks cytotoxicity. According to the test results, the studied material proved to be apyrogenic.
