VISION OF THE DOCTOR’S ROLE AT STUDENTS OF MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Article is devoted to a problem of formation of vision of future professional roles at students of medical school. The purpose of this work is to study as changes ideas of doctor’s role in the course of the first two years’ training in medical school. Research was conducted by methods of the content analysis, questioning and interview. It is concluded in the article that process of change of idealized narrow-minded vision of doctor’s role as doctor humanist begins on the first courses of medical school at students, whose main qualities are kindness, compassion and mercy in addition to vision of the cool competent, authoritative and authoritative professional. Process of understanding by students of difficulties of professional formation, change of motivations in study, external aspects of the professional status is touched. Some gender distinctions in ideas of doctor’s role are registered.
