ELECTRON-BEAM MODIFICATION OF CORONARY STENTS WITH MEDICINAL COATING

Abstract

Possibility of modification of eluting-system by means of radiation of stent with medicinal coating with stream of accelerated electrons for the purpose of prolonged release of anti-proliferative medicine from all mass of copolymeric matrix is investigated in the presented research. It is shown that it is possible to improve kinetic parameters of extraction of anti-proliferative medicine from coronary stent by means of technology of electron-beam modification. Profiles of chromatograms testify to chemical integrity of rapamicine and safety of stent.
